True Service of Lansing’s outreach efforts are designed to meet people where they are through compassionate, community‑based engagement that prioritizes connection, restoration, and practical support. Our outreach focuses on building trusted relationships within the community while collaborating with local partners, volunteers, and organizations to address immediate needs and long‑term stability. Through intentional presence, resource coordination, and relational support, we create pathways for individuals and families to access services, develop resilience, and experience hope. Our outreach work is rooted in collaboration and service, ensuring that every interaction reflects dignity, care, and a commitment to lasting community impact.

Justice Ambassdors
Social justice is at the heart of our mission, and our work is strengthened through our partnership with Prison Fellowship. Together, we advance a restorative approach to crime and incarceration—one that honors the dignity and value of every person. Through Justice Ambassador training, we equip individuals to inspire the Church, influence culture, and advocate for meaningful legislative reforms that promote proportional punishment, constructive prison culture, and second chances.
By encouraging accountability for those who have caused harm, inviting victims into the healing process, and cultivating deep community engagement, we help advance justice that restores and builds communities where hope and transformation can flourish. Social justice drives everything we do. Through our Justice Ambassador training, we provide the knowledge and skills necessary to effect real change within communities and churches. A restorative approach to crime and incarceration recognizes the dignity and value of all human life. We promote accountability for those responsible for crime, encouraging the participation of victims in the restorative process, and cultivating community engagement, justice is promoted and communities are restored.
Healing Communities
True Service exists to support families and individuals facing social challenges through a Christian worldview. We believe deeply that when one person is affected, the entire community feels the impact. This conviction guides our work and fuels our strategic partnerships with community service agencies as we build and strengthen Healing Communities.
Healing Communities takes this mission even further. They champion reintegration by walking alongside men and women returning from incarceration, as well as victims and their families. Faith communities offer what traditional programs often cannot—a place where acceptance, compassion, forgiveness, reconciliation, redemption, and restoration can take root and flourish.
By drawing on the unique strengths of the faith community, this model seeks to transform hearts and minds, foster genuine belonging, reduce the stigma associated with incarceration and criminal records, and build networks of support that begin in houses of worship and extend into the broader community.
